Program notes:

The composition is based on Monet's philosophy and takes inspiration from his painting "Impression, soleil levant" and from the view of the port of Thessaloniki. At first, the piece describes my "impression" of the port's view. As the piece continues, this impression is being reformed and the elements of the portrait become clearer. The blurred image of the impression, the vague and silent atmosphere changes gradually to strict and dramatic, like the feeling of a constant and persistent gaze at the port's horizon.
